True bone broth is made by boiling bones and pieces of meat in purified water for 36 hours (for beef bones) or 24 hours (for chicken bones). The liquid is then strained and cooled. The resulting broth is a nutritious gelatinous food that aids in digestion of proteins. The bone broth made by Miller's Organic Farm contains natural gelatin which is a rich source of collagen (for your skin), glycine (an amino acid which aid digestion and improve protein assimilation), natural antibiotics, peptides, anti-infammatory substances, and important minerals for bones and teeth, but in a unique form that is easy for the body to absorb (unlike supplements). These minerals include calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, silicon, sulphur and trace minerals. Beef bone broth is particularly rich in material from cartilage and tendons like chondroitin sulphates and glucosamine for joint pain relief. Bone Broth Benefits: Heals/repairs the GI tract Repairs leaky gut Helps protein and mineral absorption Helps immune system Liver detoxification Prevents and reduces food allergies and intolerances Great for kids who are dairy intolerant to get minerals Rich source of well absorbed Calcium and bone building minerals Helps build strong bones and teeth Nourishes adrenal glands (post-partum moms need adrenal support) Reduces Effects of Phthalate Exposure Reducing Effects of Phthalate Exposure "Plenty of homemade bone broths in the diet on a regular basis is a dietary strategy that can help tremendously with any phthalate exposure that does occur despite a womans best efforts. Bone broth is extremely high in the amino acid glycine via natural gelatin which is essential for the liver to adequately perform its detoxification duties. In fact, the liver is greatly hampered if there isnt enough glycine in the diet so it makes sense to consume liberal amounts of bone broth which includes glycine in a form that is very easily absorbed." Beautiful skin Wow this broth has so much gelatin in it... by drinking it a cup everyday it made my skin smooth and wrinkle-free. It is also very delicious and super healthy for the gut. And it promotes a better sleep for me. The beef broth is the best quality - thick and gelatinous. The broth is pure, so it's quite bland on its own. Before heating it, I add a teaspoon of a fresh ground rosemary/thyme/grey celtic sea salt mixture I keep in the freezer. It's delicious and satisfying this way. Every so often the beef broth tastes a bit too earthy and much like hay, but 95% of the time it's just delicious.
